H06-2 Epoxy ester primer
Key Features
Product Detail
Product description:
The cyclohexyl epoxy primer is formulated by first modifying the epoxy resin with fatty acids from vegetable oils, then grinding it together with rust-inhibiting pigments such as red iron oxide and zinc yellow, as well as extender pigments. Subsequently, additives and solvents are incorporated to obtain the final product. This product is an anti-moth primer that air-dries, forming a hard, durable film with excellent adhesion. Main products: H06-2 epoxy primer with red iron oxide and zinc yellow.
Use:
The iron-red epoxy primer is suitable for coating black metal surfaces, while the yellow-zinc epoxy primer is suitable for coating light metals. It is ideal for priming metal surfaces in coastal areas and tropical climates. The corresponding topcoats include alkyd, amino, polyurethane, nitrocellulose, and acrylic coatings.
Operating temperature:
Under dry conditions, the maximum operating temperature is 120°C.

Surface treatment requirements:
1. Metal surfaces that are being painted for the first time must be cleaned to remove contaminants such as oil, inorganic salts, and dust from the surface. Identification and treatment procedures can be carried out according to ISO 8504:1992.
2. For surfaces coated with old paint, first remove contaminants such as oil stains, dust, and moisture, and then proceed with repair work. The assessment and treatment can be carried out according to ISO 8504:1992.
3. Treat areas with flaking and damage to meet the specified standards (e.g., Sa2.5 ISO 8501-1:1988).

Construction precautions:
1. Before use, stir the paint thoroughly and dilute it with a thinner to achieve the viscosity suitable for your application.
2. If a thicker paint film is required, apply it in several layers, ensuring that each layer has a dry film thickness of 20 μm, equivalent to a wet film thickness of 30 μm. Wait until the previous layer has completely dried before applying the next layer.
3. Any leftover paint can be slightly diluted with a small amount of thinner; then, the surface should be covered and the bucket lid sealed tightly to prevent film formation.
4. The construction site must have good ventilation, and the use of open flames is strictly prohibited.
