How do factories test latex free polyurethane condoms?

It's hard to say, but many couples who are in love choose to use condoms to satisfy their needs before they get married. More and more young couples prefer to use safer latex free polyurethane condoms than traditional natural latex rubber condoms.

So how do their manufacturers test latex free polyurethane condoms?

The standard for natural latex rubber condoms is GB/T 7544-2009/ISO 4074:2005. Both latex free polyurethane condoms and natural latex rubber condoms currently use the same testing methods, but because the characteristics of polyurethane materials are different from latex. Latex free polyurethane condoms have internal control standards, which differ in the methods of electrical inspection, bursting, and water hanging tests.

The average factory's standards are higher than this standard. This standard sets out detailed product specifications and strict traceability requirements. From lubricant content requirements to condom lengths, fixed values for width, pinholes, and bursting test values, all standards are specified. Each factory in production, from the raw materials to the factory testing, the production process of sampling, to the final product testing, is to be carried out following this standard.

Each one of the condom molding times to carry out electronic micro-hole detection. The principle is that polyurethane is an insulator, and the current flows to the abrasive tool. If the UMC proves a weak point in the condom, the latex-free polyurethane condom will be automatically detected as a waste condom.

In addition, the latex free polyurethane condoms will be tested for water penetration after molding, and 315 of them will be randomly selected from one batch (150,000 to 500,000 units) for water penetration testing, which is a destructive test. If 4 out of 315 products have leakage points, the batch will not be qualified and will be discarded.

Then is the blast test. A batch of 315 is also taken for testing. If there are 10 less than 1KPA burst pressure, 1.8dm3 burst volume, it will not pass, but the general factory burst pressure to 1.7KPA when you have to check their own is not the problem. Often there are individual abrasives because of the use of a long time, and there is wear caused by the details of the reason.

Putting latex-free polyurethane condoms into the membrane is also a problematic point, and you can use a sealer to check the seal. Sometimes, although the seal is very good, the film's surface is also prone to lubricant. Usually, the machine hand is rubbed up, and these are to actively patrol the machine every hour, early detection of problems.

Latex free polyurethane condoms also need to be inspected for size to check whether the length and width align with the standard and are consistent.

For the inspection mentioned above, if one indicator fails, the whole batch of products will be destroyed. Rigorous details control to ensure that every condom used by consumers is safe.
